Non-Eu students who live abroad without permit must make pre-enrolment application at Italian Embassy in their Country of Origin in order to receive a visa. Candidates choosing a Bachelor’s or a Master’s Degree programme at the University of Foggia are required to fill in the pre-enrolment form on the UNIVERSITALY website, which is the institutional platform that Italian Universities use to communicate with Embassies to be updated with students’ visas. 

Pre-enrolment must be completed exclusively through the UNIVERSITALY portal.

Please register on the above mentioned portal and upload the following documents:

• Select “University of Foggia”;
• Leave the tax code and the ID account fields blank, if you still do not have one;
• Select either the Italian Embassy or the Italian Consulate of the Country in which you are going to apply for your study abroad visa.

The University of Foggia will examine candidates’ applications, including the following documents:

• a copy of a valid passport;
• a passport photo;
• educational qualification in the original language;
• a certified translation in Italian of your educational qualification;
• the Declaration of Value of your educational qualification (DoV) issued by the Italian Diplomatic Authorities in your home country or the ENIC/NARIC CIMEA certificate, "statements of comparability and verification" either in Italian or in English;
• the certificate of authenticity of the educational qualification or of the apostille if applicable, for countries adhering to the Aja Apostille Convention;
• Certificate of proficiency in Italian or in English (level B2 of the CEFR) or a pass mark in the Italian language test that foreign students take at the University of Foggia.

It is not necessary for Non-European students who reside in Italy to apply for the pre-enrolment if they have a valid residence permit.

Requested documents:

• a copy of a valid passport;
• a passport photo;
• educational qualification in the original language;
• a certified translation in Italian of your educational qualification;

All the UniFg Bachelor's and Master's Degree courses are held in Italian, except for the Master's Degree in Clinical and Experimental Biology which is held in English.

For this course only, the knowledge of English is mandatory.

The preliminary acceptance of canditates’ applications from the University of Foggia does not grant students the right to obtain a visa.

Please note that candidates must apply for a study visa at the Italian consulate or embassy abroad only after their pre-enrollment application has been accepted from the University of Foggia via the UNIVERSITALY portal.

Admission to 2024/2025 courses is open until 30/11/2024, therefore pre-enrollment through the Universitaly portal must be completed by the end of November. It is strongly recommended to pre-enroll as soon as possible in order to have enough time to prepare all the required documents. 

Please note that it is still possible to apply for the enrolment until the end of December by paying a €50,00 penalty fee, in addition to your foreign student tuition fees, which amount to € 1.000,00 . These fees must be paid in 3 separate installments:

1. € 200,00 by 30th November (upon enrollment) + € 50,00 in case of late enrollment
2. € 400,00 by 31st January
3. € 400,00 by 31st May

Eligibility

Before registering on the Universitaly portal and uploading all the required documents, UNIFG can confirm if you are eligible and/or qualified to be enrolled. Therefore, you can send us all the documents requested in order to have your eligibility status pre-verified.

Those who intend to be enrolled in a three-year degree course or in a single-cycle master's degree program must have completed at least 12 years of schooling overall, as per the  Declaration of Value released by the Italian diplomatic representative in charge.
