After focusing on student-athletes, the University of Foggia, in collaboration with the “Umberto Giordano” Conservatory, has extended its support to another group of its university students: those who are simultaneously enrolled in a Higher Institute of Music and Dance Studies.
These new regulations aim to promote the dissemination of music and music appreciation within the local community, as part of a broader effort to foster personal development.
This objective is closely linked to the principles outlined in Article 9 of the Italian Constitution and in the Recommendation of the Council of the European Union of May 22, 2018 on key lifelong learning competences (2018/C 189/01). The Recommendation emphasises awareness and expression as a specific cultural key competence in the field of music, in full alignment with the principle that the arts and other forms of cultural expression are fundamental tools for interpreting and navigating the complexities of the contemporary world.
