University of Foggia Housing Search Service

Cerco Alloggio is a Housing Service provided by HOMA Società Cooperativa S.p.A. on behalf of the University of Foggia. It offers Erasmus, international and non-local students a wide range of furnished apartments and rooms in Foggia nearby the University’s facilities.

How it works
Cerco Alloggio is a housing guidance and support service providing access to a database of certified properties. Through this service, students can:

  • access the platform and browse available accommodation adverts;
  • find suitable-for-students apartments and rooms;
  • receive dedicated support through a digital help desk to assist with requests from the owners of the selected properties and provide support throughout their stay in the rented accommodation.

This multilingual web platform is also accessible to people with disabilities. It allows users to view photographs and take virtual tours of the available properties, check rental prices, access the property owners’ contact details, and find any other relevant information about each accommodation.

Who can use the service?
The service is available to:

  • Italian and international non-local students incl. PhD students and postgraduate trainee students who are regularly enrolled at the University of Foggia;
  • students participating in international mobility programmes, including Erasmus+ and Individual Mobility – KA131.

Students participating in Erasmus or other international mobility programmes can access the service by completing this Application form.

Terms and Conditions

Students who wish to use this service can receive assistance throughout the accommodation search process, including the opportunity to view apartments either in person or remotely, and receive support throughout the entire process leading to the accommodation rental.

The applicable fee will be communicated at the initial stages of the process and it will be charged only once, following the successful completion of the entire letting or subletting process, for the entire property or a part of it. This will include the drafting/signing/registering stages related to the final rental agreement in compliance with current legislation.

Under the cooperation agreement between Cerco Alloggio and the University of Foggia, the cost of the service is €100.00 (VAT included) per person per bed. For international students, this cost is covered directly by the University of Foggia.

For Property Owners

Cerco Alloggio is a free housing guidance and support service available through the University of Foggia. Its purpose is to provide the university community with direct access to a database of certified accommodation properties.

All communication and arrangements with the property owners are managed exclusively by Cerco Alloggio. Listing a property is completely free of charge and includes the following services:

  • an on-site inspection of the apartment;
  • a complete photographic service covering the entire property in detail;
  • a digital virtual tour of the apartment;
  • inclusion of the property in the certified accommodations database;
  • access to a personal area where property owners can download contract templates which are drafted in accordance with current legislation and designed to protect both landlords and tenants;
  • direct contact with students and other people looking for accommodation.

Listing a property is simple. Property owners only need to register on the website platform and follow a simple guided procedure for submitting their advert. The Cerco Alloggio team will then contact each owner to arrange an in-situ inspection, verify the accommodation status, and add it to the database of certified properties, provided that the accommodation offered meets the required habitability criteria and specific service standards.
