The PhD Programme is a postgraduate programme, at the end of which the highest academic qualification in the Italian university system is awarded. It is a highly specialised programme, aimed at providing the necessary skills to carry out highly qualified research activities at universities, public bodies or private entities.
Admission to PhD programmes is open to holders of a second-cycle degree programme or a degree awarded in accordance with the previous regulations or an equivalent qualification awarded by foreign universities.
The Board of Directors of the University of Foggia, at its meeting of 30 June 2021 and at the request of the Associazione Dottorandi e Dottori di Ricerca in Italia - ADI Foggia (Association of Doctoral Students and Doctoral Researchers in Italy), has decided:
- to apply, as of the academic year 2021/2022, the new Fees and Contributions Regulations to PhD students of all cycles
Article 33 of the new Regulation provides for an annual contribution of €300 to which the ADISU fee (ADISU is the Regional Agency for the Right to University Study) must be added (compared to the €1,600 previously provided for).

Specific notice for the awarding of additional scholarships for the PhD in Neuroscience and Education - XXXVII cycle - a.y. 2021/2022, for the PON "Research and Innovation" 2014-2020 - Action IV.4 "PhDs and research contracts on innovation topics" and Action IV.5 "PhDs on Green topics.
The application for admission to the above mentioned PhD course must be submitted only through an electronic procedure, within the peremptory deadline of 11/10/2021 h 12.00 AM (Italy time) through the Esse3 portal of the University of Foggia.
Public competition, for exams and qualifications, for the allocation of three additional PhD scholarships, under the PON "Research and Innovation" 2014-2020 - Action IV.5 "Doctorates on Green topics, for the Doctorate of Neuroscience and Education, for the academic year 2021/2022 - XXXVII cycle.
The application for admission to the above mentioned PhD course must be submitted only through an electronic procedure, within the peremptory deadline of 06/12/2021 h 12.00 AM (Italy time) through the Esse3 portal of the University of Foggia.
