- Providing guidance and directives to the working groups and the other stakeholders involved in the implementation process;
- Making key decisions to the implementation of the strategy;
- Ensuring alignment with the University’s and the Departmental Strategic Plans;
- Reporting to the University’s governing bodies and to the internal University body for HRS4R.

Functions of the TWG:
- Planning and coordinating operational activities for the implementation of the HRS4R;
- Monitoring and evaluating the progress made in implementing the strategy;
- Engaging stakeholders;
- Training and raising awareness to inform the academic community about the principles and practices of the HRS4R strategy;
- Supporting Policy Development with the purpose of improving the working environment for researchers, in line with the principles of the Charter and Code (C&C);
- Reporting on progress and results achieved.
