Specific Learning Disorders

The Advanced Training Course enables participants to acquire up-to-date knowledge and professional skills regarding Specific Learning Disorders (SLD).
It is designed to train the various professionals who work with children and adolescents with Specific Learning Disorders (teachers, educators, psychologists, speech-language pathologists, educational specialists, child neuropsychiatrists, rehabilitation specialists, etc.) who wish to acquire up-to-date knowledge and professional skills in the field of Specific Learning Disorders (SLDs). The areas of focus include both school and non-school settings (cooperatives, associations, private practices, etc.).
The course, therefore, aims to train specialists who have acquired specific methodological skills regarding learning disabilities and who are able to help students with learning disabilities overcome their difficulties, both in cases where targeted remediation for specific difficulties is necessary, as well as in situations where it is necessary to strengthen skills or work on emotional and motivational aspects and study methods.

The course offers participants an educational and training program consisting of various integrated methods, structured as follows:

• Distance Learning Classes: 51 hours (8.5 CFU);
• Practical exercises: 6 hours (1 CFU);
• Final exam: 12.5 hours (0.5 CFU);

Attendance at the course is mandatory for 70% of the scheduled hours.
The course will generally take place on Friday afternoons and all day Saturday.
At the end of the training activities, there will be a final exam consisting of a project on one of the topics covered during the course

The Advanced Course is open to anyone who holds a first-level degree or a degree awarded under the system in effect prior to Ministerial Decree 509/99 (V.O. degree) or equivalent qualifications.
