Employees and/or citizens of participating entities for which a quota is reserved (municipalities) must declare that they are participating as quota holders by attaching the appropriate self-certification when submitting their application for admission through the portal of the Esse3 Online Services.

Learning objectives

The course, organized in collaboration with the municipalities of Cerignola, Foggia, Lucera, Manfredonia, San Giovanni Rotondo, and San Severo, the Regional Council of the Order of Social Workers – Puglia, and the Juvenile Court of Bari, aims to provide the skills necessary to train professionals specialized in the legal, social, and psychological protection of minors. Specifically, the objective of the training course is:

  • to inform and train potential foster parents about the responsibilities involved in professional foster care;
  • to promote a responsible understanding of the purposes of foster care and the challenges that couples or individuals may face;
  • to acquire a methodology for the foster care process and for networking in order to carry out protective measures on behalf of minors;
  • improve legal, social, psychological, and educational support for minors, as well as the mechanism
    organizational and educational aspects of school and institutional settings;
  • to facilitate communication between the various regions;
  • promote well-being.

The course is designed to train the following professionals:

  • contact person for specialized foster care projects;
  • instructor in corrective and rehabilitative treatment;
  • supervisor in the change process resulting from the implementation of the project itself;
  • guardian of the minor.
Organizzazione del corso

This training program offers participants an educational and training curriculum consisting of various integrated methods, structured as follows:

  • Lectures (72 hours);
  • Workshops (12 hours).

Attendance at the course is mandatory for at least 70% of the hours specified in the syllabus.
At the end of the training program, there will be a final exam consisting of a written essay on one of the topics covered during the course.

Those who have attended the course and passed the final exam will be issued a
a certificate of participation and 15 CFU credits.

Admission requirements

The Professional Development and Continuing Education Course is open to anyone who holds a high school diploma or equivalent qualification.
