With regard to the possibility of attendance and concurrent enrolment in the above-mentioned pathways, the following is hereby specified.
The competent Ministry has recently expressed a favourable position on concurrent enrolment in both training pathways, both of which require mandatory attendance, but only with specific reference to the TFA 10th cycle (academic year 2024–2025) and the 30, 36 and 60 CFU Qualifying Pathways (academic year 2025–2026), in consideration of “the limited duration of the overlap period” (Ministerial Note No. 10 of 16 February 2026).
In this regard, it should be noted that this “derogation” has not been reiterated by the Ministry with reference to the forthcoming TFA 11th cycle (academic year 2025–2026) and the Qualifying Pathways 30 CFU pursuant to Article 13 of the 4 August 2023 DPCM for the same academic year, which are also due to start shortly.
Therefore, pending updated guidance from the relevant Ministry, the regulatory provision prohibiting concurrent enrolment in two courses requiring mandatory attendance must be applied strictly, where the attendance requirement for at least one of the two courses in which the student is enrolled has not been fully met.
Accordingly, in the hope that the previous derogation will also be confirmed for the current academic year, the University of Foggia – through the Teacher Training Centre – is already taking steps to schedule the delivery of teaching activities for both the TFA 11th cycle and the 30 CFU Qualifying Pathways pursuant to Article 13, in such a way as to make concurrent attendance possible, while fully complying with the minimum attendance requirements (and the relevant percentages), taking into account the specific teaching structures of the two aforementioned courses.
Please note that:
For the TFA Pathway, absences (as stipulated under Article 3, paragraph 4, of MIUR Decree No. 92/2019) are permitted up to a maximum of 20% of each individual course unit. The corresponding number of hours must be made up for, through arrangements established by the course instructors. Full attendance of all scheduled activities is mandatory for the traineeship and laboratory activities (Article 3, paragraph 2, of Ministerial Decree No. 926 of 26 June 2026).
For the Qualifying Pathways, a “minimum attendance rate of 70 per cent of the training course for each individual training activity” is required (Article 7, paragraph 7, of the 4 August 2023 DPCM).
