Endodontics

This Advanced Training Course is designed to provide a training program aimed at deepening theoretical and practical knowledge, offering both practicing dentists and recent graduates an update on the latest research and clinical procedures in modern root canal treatment.
The various techniques for root canal instrumentation and obturation will be discussed, and the chemical and physical properties of the various instruments available on the market will be evaluated. The importance of proper isolation of the operating field will be emphasized.
Particular emphasis will be placed on proper instrumentation using the various techniques currently in use, while also paying special attention to the procedures to be implemented to reduce the risk of treatment-related errors, instrument fractures, false passages, root steps, etc., with a focus on endopedodontic techniques and root canal irrigation.
Part of the course focuses on root canal fillings using both traditional and state-of-the-art materials, as well as indirect restorations (inlays), and describes the criteria for selecting the various techniques. Finally, the course will address dental trauma and the corresponding treatments to preserve pulp vitality.
 

The Advanced Training Course is open to anyone who holds a master’s degree—whether earned under the degree system in effect prior to Ministerial Decree 509/99 in Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics, in Medicine and Surgery with registration in the Dental Practitioners’ Registry, or in Medicine and Surgery with a specialization in Odontostomatology, or equivalent qualifications.
