Governance

The University Third Mission Committee, established in 2017 and whose members remain in office for three years, performs the following tasks:

• to suggest, promote and support the Third Mission actions of the University as a whole, in accordance with the guidelines defined in the Strategic Plan and with the principles established in the following documents: Politica della Qualità della Ricerca e Terza Missione - ‘Research and Third Mission Quality Policy’ - and Sistema di Assicurazione della Qualità (AQ) della Ricerca e della Terza Missione - ‘Quality Assurance System (QA) for Research and Third Mission’.
• to express opinions on Third Mission activities that do not fall within the competences of other University Committees
• to promote the coordination and integration between the activities carried out by the central administration and the departments
• to suggest the procedures to allocate University funds based on pre-established criteria
• to supervise the mapping, monitoring and evaluation of Third Mission activities, also in terms of their impact on the social, cultural and economic development of the territory
• to contribute to defining strategic guidelines and choices regarding the development of the University's Third Mission, as well as to identifying policies for quality in the Third Mission
• to promote and enhance the culture of interaction with society and disseminate good practices
• to contribute to the management of institutional relations with external bodies and realities in order to define shared territorial policies and to implement effective knowledge transfer initiatives
• to contribute to identifying the socio-cultural needs of the territory
• to promote initiatives to test and disseminate innovative measures and tools
• to adequately communicate data and information on the actions undertaken, by also drafting an annual report
