Students who already hold an Italian or foreign bachelor’s degree and who intend to enroll to pursue a second academic degree may enroll in their chosen degree program by requesting recognition of their prior studies for the purpose of shortening the duration of the program. During the enrollment process, they must select the option “Abbreviation for Degree Program”.
It is not possible to request a preliminary assessment regarding the recognition of prior learning.
For this type of enrollment, you must upload to your Esse3 profile (under Menu/Career/Career Attachments) the documentation of your prior academic record (including exams, grades, and credits) for which you wish to request recognition, and then submit a ticket to the Helpdesk (selecting “SEGRSTUD-INFO/REQUESTS/ENROLLMENTS” as the reason for the request) so that, after verifying the validity of the enrollment process in the Esse3 system, the Student Affairs Office will forward the documentation to the Academic Offices of the relevant departments so that they may proceed with the validation resolutions. Enrollments with abbreviated course titles (for second degrees/students whose enrollment has lapsed and/or who have withdrawn) will be finalized only after the decisions made by the Departmental Councils have been recorded in the academic records..
The request for credit recognition, along with the simultaneous new enrollment, follows the enrollment procedures and deadlines, specifically from August 1 to November 30.
