A student whose previous academic career has been terminated or interrupted may enroll in a degree program and, upon enrollment, be granted a shortened program duration. During the enrollment process, the student must select the option “Abbreviation for Course (Withdrawn/Dropped)”.
You may request recognition of exams taken as part of a previous educational program that was interrupted or terminated, provided that you have re-enrolled.
It is not possible to request a preliminary assessment regarding the recognition of prior learning.
The request for credit recognition, along with the simultaneous new enrollment, follows the enrollment procedures and deadlines, specifically from August 1 to November 30.
In order to have their academic credits recognized, students who have withdrawn or had their status revoked are required to pay the “credit recovery fee,” which amounts to €109.00, via PagoPA.
For this type of enrollment, you must upload to your Esse3 profile (under Menu/Career/Career Attachments) the documentation of your prior academic record (including exams, grades, and credits) for which you are requesting recognition, and then submit a ticket to the Helpdesk (selecting “SEGRSTUD- INFO/REQUESTS/ENROLLMENTS” as the reason for the request) so that, after verifying the validity of the enrollment process in the Esse3 system, the Student Affairs Office will forward the documentation to the Academic Offices of the relevant departments so that they may proceed with the validation resolutions. Enrollments with abbreviated course titles (for second degrees/students whose enrollment has lapsed and/or who have withdrawn) will be finalized only after the decisions made by the Departmental Councils have been recorded in the academic records.
