University Sports Committee

The University encourages cultural, recreational and social activity among all university students and promotes the diffusion and strengthening of sport, availing itself to the University Sports Committee (C.S.U.), which was founded according to present law.

The University Sports Committee supervises the sports facilities and the development of sporting activities. The management of the university sports facilities and the sporting activities are entrusted, by convention, to the University Sports Centre (C.U.S.).

The University Sports Centre in Foggia organises the various sports, from beginner to competitive level, for students at the University of Foggia through sports courses, competitive and recreational events, numerous tournaments, as well as activities at a competitive and federation level. With the more distinct athletes in the various sporting disciplines, the University Sports Centre also participates in the National University Championships, the most important national competitive meeting at university level and organised by the various Italian University Sports Centres. For those students at a high sporting level there are also the “Universiadi”, the University Olympics.
