The University of Foggia

It has become an important cultural centre and is on a par with all other universities. This shows that the reasons which brought about its establishment were well founded. Today in our university there are 6 Faculties: Agriculture, Economics, Law, Letters and Philosophy, Medicine and Surgery, Faculty of Education, making a total of 35 courses (22 first-level degree courses and 10 second-level degree courses, 3 known as “magistrali”), all of which have been set up according to the university reform. There are 13 departments, 30 specialization schools and numerous master’s courses. More than 11,000 students attend our University, a trend that is on the up-and-up. Scientific research and the internationalization of relations are flourishing and are bringing our university to the attention of national and international bodies. Today the University is known in Italian and international scientific world.
