In coerenza con il piano strategico triennale e con gli obiettivi del Bologna Process, l’Ateneo si impegna in azioni ed iniziative di internazionalizzazione.
Le proposte interessano sia l'ambito della ricerca che quello della formazione, puntando su:

The internationalization of its academic relationships has been, and still is a priority in the process of development of the University of Foggia. In fact, since it was opened in 1999, the University of Foggia has taken a number of strategic measures to pursue this objective such as:
Overcoming the traditional horizons of the Universities in Italy, by linking different social, economic and cultural realities in order to convey diverse experiences which may contribute to enhance the attractiveness of the University of Foggia in Europe and worldwide.
Encouraging the interaction between the University and the labour market, by favouring international collaboration activities helping increase the number of training experiences, also under a professional point of view.
Signing bilateral agreements encouraging cultural and scientific collaborations with European and extra-European Universities.
Participating into international mobility programmes supporting students and scientific research (Tempus, Erasmus Mundus, ENPI, etc.).
The Division for International Relations coordinates, inter alia, two sectional programmes under the Lifelong Learning Programme (LLP): Erasmus and Leonardo da Vinci.
